This is ridiculous, a 40 year old 737 in no way shape or form is safer than a 737 max flawed pitch control and all.

There is actually an inter cooler brick worked into most of those set ups.
The resources just aren’t there for it. You want to supercharge a modular or LS? The world’s your oyster. Put a blower on a BBC? A handful of non-inter cooled roots blowers (ugh) or a centrifugal and you better be prepared to open your wallet.
Off the top of my head the only classic supercharged muscle cars were Shelby’s which weren’t exactly production. Factory supercharging didn’t take off until the 90's.
I’m in to the more modern pony cars but I occasionally interact with the classic muscle car crowd and I’ve yet to meet one that was in to supercharging. In my limited data points they tend to be very NA or bust. Probably because tuning a carb for a supercharged motor without burning a hole in a piston had to be a…
Grew up with this? Ford Cobra’s didn’t start using a supercharger until 2003. That’s millennial and Gen X territory.
I was with you until the throttle response comment.
I will gladly concede anyone who wants to be is a true over-lander.
True, XJs/ZJs/samuri/early taco’s are slowly rotting away and desirable survivors get more expensive each year. Having a surplus of cheap wranglers and light trucks when those are no longer available will be a plus.
Comanche’s always get a star.
We just got a ten year old mule as a utility truck for a family cabin in Michigan and the thing was a blast to run around the woods with. It was like a four wheeler but slightly less likely to kill me, I get why people have been converting to them now.
Hot take. Over-landing is a stupid trend for yuppies that needs to die. It’s driving up the price of perfectly decent off-road rigs and resulting in hilariously ill conceived mods to non off-road rigs. All so people who don’t spend much time in the outdoors anyways can post Instagram stories from trails the average…
Similar experience. Fortunately when they get bigger you can use one of those harnesses that turns a shoulder belt into a five point.
Its relatively easy to keep the differential out of the line of fire, by placing the tire on whatever your trying to get over it picks the differential up and out of the way.
Also, dont mess with jalops. We've got tetanus.
ANY new housing increases the supply of homes and lowers ALL their prices. It just takes longer for the effect to make it's way to the bottom of the market if you increased the supply at the top. Signed a guy with multiple houses and an economics degree...
Yeah that won’t work. It’s a union shop. The guys will shrug as the new management team comes in and go right back to being assholes while joking with the new managers about how long until they get fired too.
I work in a union shop, they would literally have to kill someone to be fired on the spot. We fire people regularly for obvious stuff, like not ever showing up, and still lose in arbitration. All that will be accomplished by firing one of these guys is to give them a 6 month vacation on the companies dime once they…
Yeach that motor was a bad idea. Iirc the DOHC 4.6 fit which makes you wonder why they bothered. I guess ford wanted something to show for all the money they plowed into JLR.
Funny enough you are staring at the current mustang under the nostalgia bling. A DEW98 coupe like the Thunderbird was supposed to be the mustang we got in 2005. Unfortunately ford accountants figured out people valued nostalgia over technology so the IRS, front suspension, and dohc motor got tossed. We got the…
