Yeah, but there's a strange way of thinking at work here. You can't continually foster nostalgia and then complain when people want to cash in on that nostalgia. Would the Ghostbusters remake have happened without people clamouring for a continuation of the franchise ?

Yes, alright. He likes this franchise and doesn't like the direction in which it's headed. It's his opinion, and his right. Why does this opinion need to be turned into a 6-minutes video ? What does this accomplish ?

It is a fair point, but why were "most of the remakes from the last ten years of genre titles" undeserving of a boycott video ?
I'm not saying he is sexist, I'm not even saying his video is sexist, but taking his opinion and making it into some kind of grand stance is more than a little bit ridiculous.

It was established in the books, never quite clearly in the show (beyond the fact that he is a Targaryen loyalist) - still, those parts of the books could be adapted later, and I've heard speculation that a famous speech of his, where he exposes his motivations, could be in season 6.

The show did touch on that, in "And Now His Watch has Ended", the fourth episode of season 3.

I read the Jean-Luc Lagarce's play "It's Only the End of the World" is based on. It's very, very good. Those are pretty exciting news.

Especially FRENCH cinema critics.
