Weirdly enough, I don’t drink coffee either. Most people fall into one camp or the other. But I never got into coffee. I love the smell of it, but I always sort of thought that the smell never matched the taste. I’ll drink the occasional latte or chai, but as for just a straight-up cup of coffee or tea, no thank you.

At that point, I would trust Joel, former construction contractor, to perform my surgery more than I would trust that doc. That might be only a slight exaggeration.

If this is atypical beauty, count me in:

About 15 years ago, one of my siblings was hit while out running in broad daylight. Thankfully, it was a low-speed collision and the vehicle was a car not an SUV or truck. They went up onto the hood and managed to escape serious injury, but they were still pretty banged up. I shudder to think what would have happened

This is largely my take, too. The sex tape was a horrible invasion. I had no idea that South Park episode ever existed, but yeah it was probably in poor taste. But then again South Park’s stock and trade is poor taste a lot of the time. But as for a wholesale reappraisal, that’s a harder sell for exactly the reason

Now playing

I’m kind of jealous of people who love tea and buy all the different varieties. They seem to really enjoy and savor the experience of having tea. Me, I fall into the Ted Lasso category of tea drinkers. I just don’t get it.

That’s a good point. I hadn’t even thought of that.

I had to come back here to your post because our viewpoint has been endorsed by a series of actual doctors via Slate:

I had to come back here and share that our viewpoint has officially been endorsed by a cadre of doctors via Slate: https://slate.com/culture/2023/03/last-us-finale-hbo-season-1-vaccine-ending.html

I get the stated purpose of it, but it’s still problematic for the reason you give: A flat fee isn’t calculated by usage in the way a per-gallon tax is, where if you drive more, you pay more. Given that PEHVs and EVs tend to drive fewer miles per year and gas powered vehicles (7k miles vs. 11k miles on average), it

Sadly, many states are doing the opposite of #3 and actively discouraging people to buy the kinds of cars that might be used as short trip commuter vehicles. In my state, if you drive a hybrid or an EV (both of which statistically are driven fewer miles each year than their gas-only counterparts) you have to pay an

When I was in high school, a friend had a Chevy S10, probably a 95 or 96. I am a tall woman at 6', and I remember that the hood of that truck was just below my hip level. The other day I walked through a parking lot and I kid you not, the hood of one of the trucks was at my shoulder level. If I got hit by the 96

One factor is that SUV and trucks are getting bigger and bigger. And testing requires that these big vehicles be tested and pass tests against similarly sized vehicles. There isn’t a requirement that SUVs have to pass crash tests involving smaller cars. So basically small cars get crash tested against small cars, big

Yeah, I am much more inclined to go with your take. True, Mazin or Druckman uses the term “activated” I think in one of the “making of” interviews early on. That doesn’t seem to be their sustained take throughout the season. And I don’t think that one comment is the end-all, be-all interpretation of the character.

In my experience, a big dick generally equals pain (or at the very least discomfort) rather than increased pleasure. Lots of guys discount this. Not to get too clinical, but a 6.75 inch dick, which would be around the 95th percentile for penis length, is considerably longer than the average length of an aroused

I have to admit, that line was where I maybe started to change my mind about watching. Or at least giving it a shot. (But I tend not to be a huge Damon Lindelof fan, so I’ll likely talk myself out of it).

Seriously. Dick size is overrated and completely not indicative of whether someone is good in bed.

Yeah, I haven’t been nearly as conflicted as many of the reviewers are. Maybe the game sets up a humanity vs. Ellie choice, but the show doesn’t imo. The show hasn’t pitched the Fireflies as saviors or particularly competent. They get attacked in Boston. They lose half their party getting Marlene across the country.

I distinctly remember listening to sports talk radio the weekend after EEAAO opened. For 30 minutes, three football bros gushed over an indie movie that most of their audience had likely never heard of. That’s how I knew EEAAO was going to be a different kind of movie. To hear a radio crew that rarely talked about any

I know! I just wish they would stop reminding me of that. It hurts the one feeling I have left.
