Take another look, Hawkeye. Jefferson was heading to the tunnel when the first projectile hit him. Stay classy, Florida. Oh, wait, that’s not possible.

I agree on all counts about MMFR. It’s my favorite movie of the last 20 years - maybe longer. One shot I noticed on the second or third watch (in the theater! And I NEVER do this anymore) was after Max drives the truck out of the canyon, when Furiosa jumps back into the truck. There’s a sly callback to earlier when…
Big, bold move there for Crabtree to take a late swing at a helmeted player. Now he’s stupid AND fined/suspended.
I’m almost certain there’s a better chance you’ll be killed by a gun here in the US than a spider in Australia.
Yup. But I was thinking more about people who live some place like, say, Arkansas who maybe want to live and work where there’s more opportunity, but the cost of living in Arkansas creates a closed loop of income/expenses that makes it nearly impossible to afford to move to a place like NY, LA, or SF.
Good point! I’ll give you that. One of the worst things about the geographic financial inequity in the US is how it keeps people from moving to more lucrative market areas in search of better employment/living standards. But it’s still less than half a mil, so at best it would be truly helpful for a few years at most.
TIL that people are easily upset by the threshhold of what might be considered “life changing.” My suggestion is to find something else to direct your angry energies towards, like the tax give-away bill or shelter puppies that aren’t adopted. For those who think they are going to live high on the hog with boats and…
I accept and appreciate your sympathy.
Maybe you enjoy living in a world where you say things on the internet you wouldn’t say to my face a little too much. Crawl back in your hole.
My poorly emphasized point exactly. When I think “life changing” I think of those people who win ridiculous amounts in the lottery. *Their* lives are changed in every possible way. Perhaps my definition of “life changing” is a bit narrower than the needlessly hostile commenters here, but I stand by it.
Maybe I think buying a house and sending kids to college should be the norm and not some privilege for the wealthy.
The name-calling really helps make your point much more salient. Thanks for your informed input.
He Snoked.
While a million bucks would be welcome in our house, it wouldn’t quite count as “life-changing” in the sense of international vacation homes or early retirement. All it would really allow you to do in the US is pay off some debt, maybe pay off your house, get a new car or two and maybe college for one or two kids, and…
Sadly, I guess we can no longer say that Trump accomplished nothing during his Presidency.
You’re not alone.
The irony of the embedded ad between the clips being “Top 5 moments from Gross Point Blank” and showing nothing but a killer holding and aiming a gun. LOL?
I’m gonna take a wild guess here and say you’ve never seen him bitch-slap a 280lb linebacker to the ground on a side-route. Pity.
