I think you mean the heavily anticipated 1984 which was the first year of the C4. And it had the miserable cross fire V8 which only lasted a year. By 85 it had the L98 which was a decent motor at 230 hp which steadily improved.

I remember 1984. I was in high school then. I don’t think anyone today understands how underpowered everything was back then.

This is pretty much stupid cheap for any Corvette, even a 120 hp late 70's model with a missing T-Top. So inspect it, and it is probably a NP even if it has some things to sort out.

A well-worn and somewhat filthy C-4 with an automatic? No way in hell would this be a car I’d look to get.
