Is it petty of me to be doubtful of this truck just because they’re selling on CRAIGSLIST? I mean, really? Even eBay Motors would be a step up.

I don’t mind the idea of a 944 Cab, but not this one at this price

Lol that is verbatim what I was planning to say

And, for better or worse and with all due respect to Henrick, the Fisker name isn’t widely known nor does it carry strong cache among the few who DO know it.

I’m sure the city would love that. It’s sad (I’ve visited before and loved the restaurant there), but it’s getting harder and harder to justify.

Well, I for one am sorry I missed the QOTD that prompted this. There’s no way a list of greatest American car shouldn’t include the ‘62-’67 Continental.

The truth I wound up facing was that a PHEV was almost the worst of both worlds, a BEV that had the same maintenance requirements as an ICE vehicle (and a LOT more complexity).

I think many people have an unrealistic sense of what their requirements really are.

We’re still in early days.

That might work, but considering in this case the bus inverted it’s tough to say if that would have actually helped (it would have taken MASSIVE force to eject the battery any distance and it would have compressed the cabin more).

I get that this sounds like minimizing, but from the look of that crash scene a lot of those fatalities may have come instantly from the crash itself.

No, Hydrogen isn’t the answer. Not when it essentially wastes 2/3 of the energy that a straight BEV would use (and that’s not even counting energy used to process and transport that H2). And if you want to suggest getting that H2 from natural gas, you’re really better off just burning it straight as CNG from a carbon

I get that as classics go it’s kinda “meh” but the number of cars that age that are still on the road declines all the time. And in a way, the “meh” ones are becoming even rarer since they don’t have the obvious appeal of a flashier model. Going NP on this one.

The capital cost to do it that way goes through the roof, which is why you only see that in extremely valuable urban locations.

Economically, this is rapidly becoming a no-brainer even for retrofitting. Panel prices have plummeted in recent years and continue to decline.

Yeah, but for years the only manual you could get on a Camry was with the 4-cyl only. A V6/5sp on a Camry always was an unusual thing.

This is a good car. That’s my favorite Camry gen (I know, I know, that’s kind of like saying you have a favorite variant of vanilla) and if the maintenance has been kept up as advertised this should drive as good as new.

Yes! This is a good thing!

Many hotels already offer L2 charging, and more are adopting it every day.
