Oh, and one potential idea: a small pod hotel. Combine that with L2 chargers at reduced cost, and it encourages people to get off the road when they’re tired.

We need charging stops with AMENITIES, and truck stops are a natural; a road traveler could even take a shower there on a long trip.
It’s the officers’ discretion whether they administer a sobriety test, so I’ll bow to their judgement there, but even accepting Odom’s story at face value it’s distracted driving and he’s getting off easy with that.
Would I personally pay this? No. But for the market and the mission this isn’t bad at all. NP (high-ish, but I build in a 15% bargaining margin)
I like the car. It looks distinctive and I’m sure it’s a blast to drive. It’s not MY kind of distinctive, but that wouldn’t stop me from voting it NP if I thought it was good for someone else. But even with the usual 20% buffer I build into my calculations, this is still too damn much.
If I had to guess (and at this point it’s ALL guessing), I’d say this actually keeps the Toyota Century branding. One of those “If you know, you know” things.
Having owned a ‘92 with the glass roof and the ice maker, I have a soft spot for Previas to begin with (seriously, one of my favorite vehicles ever—BRILLIANT packaging and fun to drive).
Counterpoint: Ford wanted to offer two different flavors of the same platform, with the Escape being more car-like.
The “2nd gen” was arguably just a heavily face-lifted 1st gen. Same basic structure, platform, and so on.
This is absolutely the car I would have bought at 20. It would be trashed by the time I was 22 but it would have been fun while it lasted. NP.

This is just about my favorite SL, and I’d gladly own it myself. But not at that price, “Silver Arrow Edition” or not. With the V12? Sure, but not this one.
It always makes me sad to see the Alpine A610, since Renault had a US-federalized version all set to go to sell through AMC dealerships before Chrysler bought them out.
Lithium isn’t the only material that can be used for batteries, though. We’re now seeing the first EVs with sodium batteries, so considerably cheaper.
The argument is that once a EV is around 15 years old the end of the battery life cycle it is no longer worth the cost of a replacement battery pack...
EV restomod could be fun, too. Arguably, an RR is a prime candidate for a smooth, torquey EV powertrain.
This looks like a great car for someone who knows what they’re taking on. Potential restomod, too. NP.
As a Mach-E owner, I grant that this is a possibility, but I’m going to stay hopeful.
Again, pre-production status. A similar pre-production GT500 would go for quite a bit more.
The “upcoming Bolt” is gonna be “upcoming” for awhile. Yes, Barra has said they’ll build it, but I’d be very surprised to see it on the road before 2025. If then.
