While I’m not a Tesla owner, my new Mach-E also has this PaaK functionality. My question is, how does the relay “know” how to authenticate? Does it need to connect to the owner’s phone first? Is it able to spoof walking up cold?

It almost physically painful to see the Pacer make these lists (which it does, inevitably).

I’m a Caddy fan, but I deeply dislike this particular gen Eldo. Just... too much.

The material Toyota used was amazing. Tough as rhino skin and still soft to the touch.

Absolutely one of the best cars I ever owned was a ‘93 Previa LE, the top trim with the fridge and the two glass roof panels. Slow, sadly, but could legit seat seven comfortably (and once roadtripped from Calgary to Vancouver Island with a full load of passengers).

Amazing packaging that could seat that many people in

I just took delivery of my Mach-E last week. And while my brain thinks the artificial noise that is piped on “Unbridled” mode is utterly stupid, it still somehow puts a goofy grin on my face.

Ideally, a new Ford EV truck wouldn’t be “based” on any ICE platform at all but would be on a clean-sheet EV platform.

I will not deny, this looks well-built.

This car is a war crime

Ummm... a 9.9 second 0-60 time in the early ‘80s was considerably better than average. I mean, that Metro was a pretty sucky car for a number of reasons, but in terms of “performance” that wasn’t actually awful.

The wealthy benefit more from common services than most of us poors... why wouldn’t they be expected to shoulder more of the cost of running them?

GREAT camera/sensor package. Likely nowhere near as bad as their gas powered namesakes were.

I won’t be a buyer, but I thought this was a brilliant vehicle to do for an early EV. It will be attractive to a lot of guys who wouldn’t be caught dead in a Tesla. Call it “counter-programming”.

I dig the name. Clearly an EV nameplate with some elegance to it.

Much as I’m a sucker for the whole personal luxury form-factor (and wish we still had something like this around), and much as this is a pretty good example, that’s WAY too much money.

Yeah, but in most cases the Kit-car guy is too busy building his own kit car to bother buying someone else’s...

I’m with you here, but just because we wouldn’t buy it doesn’t mean it’s a bad deal.

My parents used to live in Ucluelet, on the west coast of the island, and when I’d drive over I’d get to see this plane docked at Sproat Lake (just west of Port Alberni), and I’ve gotten to see it in the air a few times. Beautiful craft!

What is the state’s rationale here? Like, why does this even matter?

Love the car (remember them fondly, and I once had a ‘76 Corolla Coupe that I bought for $300 and it survived my abuse for YEARS). And it looks really clean and well-kept, but not $9,500 clean and well-kept...
