With the sleeper you could still accommodate two drivers. The off-duty driver will just have to stay in the sleeper, is all.

It is, however, WAY closer in concept to the original Dodge Caravan concept than the Pacifica.

Yes, actually

“mid cycle refresh” is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. This platform dates back to ‘03.

I really, really want to like this car. Could probably do the range-extender version, but it would be great if they could get a battery that was just a LITTLE more energy-dense, and maybe a slightly more powerful motor. Aesthetically this is one of the nicest EVs on the market (and yes, I like that it’s essentially a

Gonna go NP. Yes, the miles are high, but if it’s been maintained properly I’m not so worried about that for a diesel. New, these are ungodly expensive and they’re kind of unicorn-ish.

What an oddball! And as a Canadian I could totally get behind this. Not sure that it’s such a great price, but you could do worse.

“Why do the Brits drink warm beer? They have Lucas refrigerators!”

The Pacer was originally engineered for the GM Wankel, and I’ve often wondered how differently the car would have turned out had that program succeeded.

Auto brands crave ways to differentiate themselves from competition, though. If they all just use Android Auto, or just provide you with some Smart-like dock where your phone becomes the display, they lose a massive opportunity to make themselves look distinct.

It’s nice, but it’s not especially remarkable.

I am a progressive greenie who would find a way to run this sucker on cooking oil if I had it. This beats a 4-place ATV any day.

This has gotta be one of the most insulting used car listings I’ve ever seen, and I can only assume that the current seller’s market is just amplifying the dumb.

There are some that are worth a few bucks, at least. Like the 3rd gen 4Runner, but the only way a ‘94 Explorer could possibly be worth this much is maybe if Fred Durst lived in it once

“Other guy’s project” is usually an automatic ND, but I’d say this one is at least worth a look. It’s not only uncommonly good work, it’s uncommonly good taste. Still pricey, but a marginal NP from me.

That big battery stands to last even longer in many cases (though not all). Customers won’t necessarily need to rapid charge as often and may well only charge to 80% much of the time. This will do wonders for battery life.

What’s really needed here are trailers that have not just their own battery pack, but their own driven axles as well so that they can recover power through regen braking. Not a doubt in my mind this will come eventually.

The Rivian is in early production. They’re already giving customer preview drives at the plant. There are still some potential gotchas, sure, but for all intents and purposes the truck is complete.

I suspect there are supply constraints between batteries and chips. This isn’t a massive surprise and it will (eventually) work itself out.

I’m guessing that on at least one occasion you were that “other person”
