Nice car, and even that limited range isn’t a dealbreaker, but that price is still WAY too high considering you can easily find a used Leaf that will outdo it handily. ND here.

There are alternatives. They’re working on “synthetic gasoline” that shows some promise and presumably even vintage cars will be able to run it. And there’s always the prospect of EV restomods (a market I think will be huge in coming years)

To me, short of the SVOs this represents peak Fox, and yes, it’s in lovely shape, but it’s not even in the 20% margin I typically use to judge NP/ND. Knock $5k off, sure but ND at this price.

I have fond feelings for this car, and it looks like it’s in pristine condition! But that price is nuts.

The thing with the Cygnet is that even if they didn’t change any mechanicals, the interior at least got the full-Aston treatment and for me that’s kinda cool. I really wish it had sold in North America.

There’s a lot to be said for console mounted window switches. Routing wires into the doors is kind of fraught; the conduit can break down and the wires wear with mechanical flexing. As well, by putting the switches in the console it eliminates the need for redundant circuits between the doors.

I still think the original Saturn SC was maybe the nicest looking small coupe GM ever produced. The update didn’t necessarily improve on that, but these are fun to drive and stupidly easy to service and get parts for.

...and this is a MUCH nicer car than any Cavalier. NP for sure.

Enthustiastically second the Lincoln. That convertible Connie (esp. the post-facelift 66/67s) is my favorite classic.

Amphibious vehicles wind up being compromised both as boats AND as road vehicles. There are reasons the Amphicar didn’t sell: it was a shitty car and an even shittier boat.

Just makes me wonder what’s going to happen to the market once the supply issues are addressed. We’re going to have an awful lot of people who will be WAY upside down on their car loans.

I’m betting the low hp on the BRZ is more Toyota’s doing than Subaru’s.

I REALLY wish they’d do that, because the hatch would look approximately 300% better than the sedan.

NOBODY’s ever been “really into” Novas

Specifically, the Bicentennial Eldo was a run of the last 200 ‘76 convertibles. Because the NHTSA had been hinting for years that they were going to outlaw convertibles, it was expected these would be the last ones GM would ever produce, and speculators snapped them up instantly.

Yeah, Honda’s infotainment has been among the worst I’ve used. And for better or worse that actually matters to a lot of potential buyers.

Mentioned elsewhere that a pristine ‘76 Nova Concours 4dr got $6,500 on BaT last year. I see this one doing somewhat better, but anything north of $12k is honestly insane.

EXACTLY. This is a pretty sweet car, honestly, but I have trouble seeing it north of $12k at the ABSOLUTE max.

Saturn maybe represents my biggest (of many) disappointments in GM.

Better test: perform a spectrograph analysis as a baseline and then do another one after 10 filter changes and see what the difference is.
