Sorry. It’s a nice car, but that much for a 2nd gen Legend is just too much. A Legend Coupe, maybe, or the high-spec model, maybe. For a plain-vanilla base sedan, though? Nah...

I could see Uber drivers snapping these up in massive numbers.
They were still building the 4-dr Continental droptop at this point, and frankly I’d rather have that anyway.
It’s a nice car. I’m especially drawn to old Detroit lux coupes, and this is one of the better ones. Even so, that’s WAY too much $$$. It’s not a serious collector car, it’s not in concours condition. This is a good 50% over a reasonable asking price.
I, too, second the idea that the Volvo displays a particular design ethic; it makes a statement.
Sadly mine, too, was wrecked, sliding into a median at 90 degrees and flipping onto the roof, fracturing C5 & 6 for me. When I left the hospital and went to the wrecker to see the car I cried.
My first car was a red ‘76 Celica Liftback. Loved that car.
I would posit that if I were a Bolt owner in Montreal, I’d actually rent an ICE vehicle if I were making this trip on a winter weekend.

What I really like about this is that it isn’t just a branding exercise (like the weird Borgward revival that we heard about last year), but the actual classic car company returning to the market after a long absence.
I would take this over a Tesla. It looks better, for one thing, and seems to have more character in general.
I love what this guy tried to do here, and it actually looks pretty good. But it’s probably about $5k too high.
How loud?
My ex was car-shopping a few years ago, and in this space the Honda Fit just kicks ass on multiple levels. The Yaris was solidly built, but that’s about all it had going for it.
If I’m towing a cargo trailer I’d LOVE to be able to make sure my load is still secure.
You don’t think that all the buyers were Uber drivers?
“Longer, lower, wider” was the mantra of the time, but, honestly, the higher h-points of CUVs make more sense for a lot of reasons:
