Isn’t that the idea?

Skyfall turned into a Home Alone sequel in the last half-hour

GREAT buds. Got them off the Kickstarter campaign and gotten a lot of use out of them.

I liked the idea of the Juke, even if I wasn’t crazy about the execution. I’d love to see it come back as a 2-dr coupe-ish kind of beastie.

I like it, though that front fascia looks a bit awkward. It’s a stylish roadster that leans toward “cruiser” than its predecessors. Personally, I don’t object to that (I lean toward “cruiser” myself), but I don’t think this is a hardcore sports car by any stretch.

One thing I’ve been curious about is whether more recent materials might make those apex seals more reliable (ceramic, maybe?)

If you do a LOT of stop-start they’re great, since they recover so much of the energy from stopping and reuse it for starting. It also saves some wear on the engine since it’s stressed the most when launching the vehicle from a stop.

“Shit” is kind of an exaggeration. It’s an unfortunate “generic hypercar” kind of profile, admittedly (I loved the original), but it’s not fair to call it genuinely bad looking.

Actually, the last time Cadillac used a Chev platform it came out not too bad...

Sure, you can find a cheaper Volt, but it won’t be as quiet, comfortable, or well-equipped (radar cruise, remember).

I’m kind of in love with both this and the XLR roadster; both stunning coupes that hit the market WAY overpriced and have come down considerably.

Controversy isn’t always a bad thing in design.

Some of us honestly aren’t as attached to our hatred.

That makes me wanna cry

It’s a 20-year-old V-12 Mercedes. My heart loves it. My wallet is cowering in fear.

So here’s my take, and I seem to come at it from a different angle than most:

The whole notion of “scale” seems to evade Elon.

It’s not reasonable to expect perfection from any human enterprise.

I would have totally rocked one of these had they been offered in North America. Incredibly cool.

You grossly overestimate the output for solar panels. You’re looking at literally days’ worth of production to get even a few miles.
