Fun fact about this trail. Its weak sauce up until the last mile and a half. When I did it, the rangers said most people drive to this point, park and walk and we say people doing that. The last mile and a half was pretty fun.

If it’s anything like our EV6, the features described in that sentence are available remotely in the app with Kia Connect. Though maybe not all of them are available in each of the paid tiers.
No no. The Kia Connect app uses the EV9s cameras to take 360 snapshots so that you can see what’s going on around the vehicle when you use the app.
It must be weird to drive this and nearly be able to look modern pickup drivers in the eye.
They’ll help you source parts quickly through local warehouses, and will chip in with some wrenching experience if you get fouled up.
My band played on the other Peter Pan Futureliner at a car show a bunch of years ago (can’t miss that one, it’s green). I will tell you from experience, it’s not an ideal stage in any possible way.
The Hemi is going away because it does not meet 2025 emissions standards. They've known about this for years.
HOA boards are elected. But in some HOAs rules and regulations are like the US Constitution - yes, they can be amended, but the bar to clear to actually do so is VERY high. And as a general rule, the board can’t just change them willy-nilly. Though of course, they can influence what comes up to a vote in many cases.
Sounds like my HOA, and a big part of why it wasn’t a deterrent to buying here. We have pretty thin rules, and I don’t mind dealing with the ones we have, so there were no life adjustments I needed to make. In order to change anything, including the HOA dues, it requires a 70% approval in each district (there are 9…
Racism. After segregation was struck down, they had to get more creative in keeping “undesirables” out of their neighbourhoods. They could no longer put a “no coloreds” clause in the housing contracts, but they could form an HOA that could judge whether you’re a “good fit for the community” and could hassle you right…
I wonder how that effects new residents from now on?
It ain’t that easy (note: I’m the local HOA pres myself). Even in our very simplistic, very low-key HOA bylaws, the rules for changing the bylaws are (for good reasons, mostly) very difficult to execute. For us, to change the bylaws, requires 80% of all residents to agree, and to agree, they must sign the form AND…
HOAs aren’t bad, mine’s awesome. Currently defending us against Amazon data center encroachment.
How did these become so ubiquitous in the States.
Yeah, this is confusing as Hell. I had to look it “Kaufmann Language” and most sites that describe it do so in ways that are thoroughly unhelpful. Best I found was this site:
A ‘Prime’ Camry (assuming its possible) would be perfect for me in a few years. Or you know what would be better, like a properly sporty version of the Rav4 Prime. A few inches lower with decent suspension and halfway decent tires...I’d buy one.
I added an extra gasket at the front of my tonneau cover. I would say it’s 99% waterproof. I mostly just experience dust from gravel roads getting inside.
Boeing out there just dreaming that Tesla gets into the airplane business to make them look great in comparison.
The vast majority of pickup trucks are vanity mobiles. If you go to an actual construction site, the real work tends to be done by commercial vehicles (i.e. dump trucks, cement mixers, etc.). Trades people are better served by vans so they have tool/part storage out of the elements. Your average F-150 is far more…
It’ll come back. At some point the post-COVID economy will cool off, and supply will exceed demand enough for depreciation to return to normal. Prices may not drop, but depreciation will resume. And there are already signs of this; see Tesla, for example.
