Interesting! I tried a ‘17 Maxima at the auto show and honestly, it was like any other automatic. Sport mode made the throttle twitchy and the cvt simulated shift points.

My manual ‘98 Maxima gave up on me. Replaced it with a ‘15 Sentra. I knew it wouldn’t be awesome or fast, but gosh darn it if it isn’t fun trying to max out the avg. mpgs on the trip computer. I didn’t want to buy a new car, but given the immediacy and need involved I’m making lemonade out of the lemons. The Maxima

I’m 37 and I still bring my TI-83+ with me to work every day. I manage a team of mortgage software support analysts and the floating point operations allow me to see exactly what the software is seeing even when it’s rounding off the values it’s displaying in the user interface. Could I do this with my phone?

Kia Stinger GT

That is terrifying! When an automobile doesn’t follow long established behaviors some might call that a flaw.

I assume you are talking about the place clad in blue and gold. I too sold cars there. There way works if you are willing to follow their training.

If it has 2 clutches it is meant for spirited driving and can be driven as a true manual with better performance than a traditional manual (that can also operated in “automatic” mode). Dual clutches are in a separate category from torque-converter automatics.

Confirmed everything you said at a Dallas Auto Show test drive. I would not even consider an CVT equipped WRX based on that experience.

My size 13 wides resemble that remark. Heel-toe, no go. But I could use the side of my right foot to match revs as needed.

Agreed! That is some arcane shit trying to maneuver through those flaps when you need to take a leak. Such a waste of time compared to hooking a thumb over the waistband and pulling down.

Can confirm. Wife’s co-workers though I was white when I would cal her work and ask to speak to her. Then they saw me and were quite confused as to whom this black guy was bringing her lunch and giving her a kiss when saying goodbye.

That sucks. Texas currently has inspections only stations that don’t do any repairs. Texas also doesn’t allow you to be charged a 2nd time for a reinspection if it’s within a couple of days. Removes the incentive to “find something wrong” with the intention of charging the customer to fix it.

This is just my opinion, but I personally find there’s just something a bit pretentious about the illuminated emblem. I’m guessing it’s probably an opinion shared by those that don’t like the Merc setup, but don’t mind the Mazda setup. No one is right or wrong. Just different strokes for different folks.

Mazda just illuminates a character line around the grill. Not the Mazda emblem to the best of my knowledge.

That’s like a new incarnation of the old Suzuki Swift!

I drove a new Maxima at the auto show and was surprised by how much I did absolutely abhor the transmission. On the other hand, the CVT in the WRX completely turned me off. That shouldn’t even be offered in that car.

Can somewhat confirm, the wife’s ‘03 Spec-V had a worse turning radius than my’ 98 Maxima which can easily u-turn in to the middle lane of a 3 lane street whike the Sentra can just barely make the outside lane.

Thing is, it’s always NADA, the national auto dealers association fighting direct to consumer sales. I kind of wonder if the manufacturers wouldn’t be in Musk’s side if they weren’t so deep with the dealers due to various franchise agreements and such.
