"Actually, the tired stereotypes you lean on are less true in Plano than they are in other parts of the metroplex..."

Yes it's personal experience, but my '90 MX-6 GT turbo got 40 mpg on a highway trip to Missouri from Texas after intake, intercooler pipe upgrade, chip, Greddy Profec-A boost controller and exhaust. It was originally rated for 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. It loved the highway and as long as you were going a

With turbos, there's always the chance to turn up the boost in some way to cheaply increase power. Usually with no fuel economy as long as you can stay out of the boost.

Maybe since the Sentra has ballooned so much in size, they plan on shoe-horning the VQ35 in the engine bay. 240-260 reliable horses from an engine they use in everything from the Pathfinder to the Altima and Maxima.

Unless I'm mistaken, the '96 Camaro also had a bunch of plastic for certain body panels.

That story makes bring to mind Heathcliff:

The sedan's Ferrari wheels don't look all that different from 850 Turbo "fan" wheels.

I have a solution...

The 2014 Gallardo is priced from $181,900. 2014 Ferrari California starts at $192,000, but it's a convertible so not a direct comparison. 2014 Ferrari 458 Italia starts at $229,000.

Simple solution...

A '96 Corolla is not normally capable of 150 mph, nor does it weigh 3800 lbs. The amount of damage it can do is far less than a GT-R merely based on mass the velocity it can achieve and the handling prowess that would allow a GT-R to do those kind of speeds the same way any normal car does 40 mph.

Sorry, kind of a troll move, but I couldn't help myself.

"Would you slap big tires on a Lambo and go off road?"

Even the JDM Galant VR-4 would have been an awesome car to have here.

If only they'd seen fit to bring over the Legnum VR-4 in it's heyday. My fellow Jalops, your wagon awaits:

It really puts in in perspective when you mention it's price is similar to the Sequoia, but wouldn't the LX or GX Lexus SUVs be a more apt comparison? Anyway, I love almost all things Nissan and Infiniti so you wouldn't have to work hard to convince me over a Toyota/Lexus product.

Blame the 2.5 liter engine and the close ratio gearbox. I'm also betting the 6th gear is not really much of an overdrive.

My apologies. You are absolutely correct. I honestly think I saw your roundel avatar and just substituted the word German into your statement.
