As a member of the speedrunning community, there are a *lot* of hoops you sometimes have to jump through to use an un-patched or half-patched (i.e. not-original but not-most-recent) version of a game that's the best for running.
New PCs I build don't have optical drives... haven't for years.
Chordite. any typing speed I lose (around 15-20%, really not bad considering I'm sitting at about 90-95 on a keyboard) is made up for by comfort and having my other hand free, and not having to jump from mouse to KB and back.

I use SMS, but only as a protocol, I don't "text" per se (I have a Chordite).
An interesting take. I guess I keep my stuff toned down, with the exception of my projects... but I go back to projects when provoked or interested or when I'm inspired, so that's not really an issue either...
If you have problems with smells in your freezer, give newspaper a go.
