Agreed on "His Dark Materials." Give the property to a company that isn't scared to use the word "God."

Bruce Springsteen. People tell me he's brilliant/timeless/transcendent. I've yet to see evidence to this effect.

I hate that every answer to the first question in these things boils down to "I had to work ::GASP:: RETAIL! It was basically like Auschwitz."

::sniffles:: I'll miss it.

The Kane shops were way more entertaining than they had any right to be.

I can dig that. The show I mentioned (this was the play, so technically "The Rocky Horror Show") happened just after Timmy hit on South Park, so the audience would scream "TIMMY!" whenever Dr. Scott entered.

Rush was the first band I saw at a "real" concert (technically my first was the Green Day free concert at the Hatch Shell back in the day), and I've always dug them, but the Neal Peart fanboys can kill it for a brother.

Eh, I got into TMBG because my wife is a massive (but not overbearing) fan. I gradually got into them, particularly their newer stuff, but it isn't for everyone.

I have a list of things in which I have absolutely no interest. I don't hate or dislike them, just don't have an interest at all. Doctor Who, the HP movies, and Dan Brown books come to mind.

It. Was. Awful.

I always characterized it as "music to get stoned and pass out to."

Bob. Fucking. Marley.

Haven't read All-New since the last crossover they had, and haven't been a Jean fan ever, so I'll take your word for it.

The story should be about the phenomenally fucked up way he was outed.

A year or so back, I went to see Ben Folds Five (my former "cursed band," meaning that any chance I had to see them in the 90s met with catastrophe) who opened for Barenaked Ladies (minus the fat one, who is in prison, apparently). My wife and I saw Ben Folds Five tear through their set, then we up and left.

I didn't watch F911, admittedly, as I was so turned off by BfC and the transparent attempts at manipulation, blatant falsehoods, and oversimplification in the name of entertainment.

No, not really. I'm a fan of people doing what they say they're going to do. Moore is no documentarian. If you disagree, fine.

I'll say this: Reigns is trying. It's an incremental improvement, but it's there.

I know, right? It'll fuck with the normally highbrow coverage of sitcoms, super-duper serious shows about dragons, and reality TV. A tragedy, to be sure.

"It’s all meaningless, and that’s what the audience is shown and told on a weekly basis."
