the touchpad isn’t like a mouse - it’s the same aspect ratio of the screen and is supposed to be 1-to-1 touch, meaning you touch directly on the touchpad where you are trying to touch on the screen.  The UI is laid out in such a way that different areas you would tap are spread out on the screen.  You can also

What’s with the gauges on these? Great layout, super legible graphics & needles, but the fuel/temp/oil markings take up about half the space on the dial that they could.

The charity they provide is specifically sending low income Jewish kids to summer camps.  Nothing wrong with that - but it’s not like you’re donating to a children’s hospital or anything like that.

oh they play those ads everywhere (MN here). Note it isn’t a generic “help kids” charity, it is to send low income Jewish kids to summer camp. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, just know the money isn’t going to help a sick kid at St. Jude’s.

Bought a 2006 911 Carrera with 45k miles for $34k this past September.  Not a lot of options out there, but it can be done.  Obviously plenty of 996 options well under that price range too.

new 911 comes with a manual transmission still.  Not available in the first batch at launch, sure.  But still available as a 2020 MY.

because if there is time on the clock, it’s a lot more beneficial to get 4 downs and try to move the ball on offense, vs. just taking an immediate do-or-die field goal try.

Who’s the chick getting dumped on at the end?

I did just the outer trim on my TSX (color matched to the body paint) and think it looks pretty sharp. Definitely better with just the chrome blade vs. the chrome & huge piece of dull plastic surrounding it.

Strap yourself in and feel the Gs!

Dude...a McLaren F1 takes around 9 seconds to go from 60 mph to 140 mph.  What in the world did you do to your Solstice??

Used to call 1-800-PORSCHE for the same thing!

Well considering none of the non-premium competition (Honda, Nissan, etc.) is offering that kind of power in their CUVs, why would Toyota? Save it for the Lexus & Acura versions of the same car. 200 naturally aspirated horsepower in a 3500 lb. vehicle is perfectly adequate for a vehicle with zero sporting pretensions.

Exactly.  If the RR used to be top dog, sure an exclusive $300k version might make sense.  But now you can spend $300k on a Rolls Royce, Bentley or a friggen Lambo without it looking like you bought the “stripper” version of a $90k vehicle.

sounds like a plentiful market

off the top of my head. Toyota 4Runner & Sequoia, Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/Escalade, Jeep Wrangler & Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango, Ford Expedition, Lincoln Aviator/Navigator, BMW X3/X5.

Writing doesn’t need to make sense on this site and hot takes don’t need to be consistent. See pointing out the 996 humpback and calling the 992 sleek despite the much more atrocious rear end proportions.

Like the wide, low headlights but the profile and (especially) the rear are all Lexus IS.

Highlander is the 3 row Pilot competitor though. Although the 4Runner is BOF (and can be optioned with a 3rd row, albeit rare), it’s still in the “large” image-conscious 2-row midsize 6-cylinder class with the Edge, Murano, Grand Cherokee, new Trailblazer, etc.

Never mind the fact that Nixon died in 1994...
