Don’t disrespect their life choices. They obviously care deeply for each other.

I don’t think that will work. It’s too easy for other parties to co-opt and easily pivot on. It needs to remain on progressive issues.
The love that I have for my children is the most powerful thing I’ve ever experienced. But every day I want to apologize to them for bringing them into this dying world.
Not to mention she is apparently a sexual predator with a tendency to assault girls as young as 11!
Look, the whole point of being woke is finding other supposedly woke people, exposing them as not sufficiently woke, thus claiming their fraudulent wokeness as your own then parading around with a sense of self righteousness that even Trump would be embarrassed by.
Thanks. People like Moral Dictata need to get off their high horse already.
Lol, couldn’t find a worse advocate than Dier to scream at Rose. An accused sexual predator herself, shameful.
Eh, Millennials are really more 1980-1995.
Agree completely. It's unbelievably rich to hear Boomers accuse other generations of narcissism considering they're the most narcissistic generation America has yet produced. Millennials have NOTHING on Boomers. These are the people who broke the country, tried to hand it to us, and when we went "uh, hey, this…
Considering the two generations of shitty people which surround us, I say we let in anyone on the cusp who wants to identify as GenX. To deny them membership would be cruel.
I've also seen generation x defined as early sixties to early eighties. Fritopie1 sounds like a good egg. I say we let her in.
Boomers are 1946 to 1964.
Yup. That's right. The whole goddamn generation, lock stock and barrel.
I've felt the same way for a long time. They are "The Absolute Worst Generation".
Don't worry. You are Gen X.
Yup. My husband's mother does this. She was/is an addict and is physically and emotionally abusive. But she did a GREAT JOB b/c he's successful! Someone give that woman Mother of the Year!
Oh yeah. I've seen it happen over and over. I mean as an adult I get that there are three sides to every story: Mine, yours and the truth - but the angry self - righteousness of people who physically abused me and literally abandoned me (as opposed to the equally sucky emotional abandonment) makes flames grow out of…
Vagnoni is 56, a few years older than I am (I'm at the boom's end.). When she writes about the ideas boomers have about how parents should be treated, I have to laugh. Boomers treated their parents like garbage. They had tons of advantages. The kind no group before or since had.
I think sometimes abusive parents have a tendency to believe the lies they've told themselves about how wonderful their children's childhoods were. Particularly if their children turned out to be decent adults.
