COTD! Bravo

I love a good dark and stormy. I’ll have to try that other ginger beer, I tend to stick with Goya. It’s got a great kick and is cheap

Cotd!

It certainly drives the wife bananas, she acts as if it’s a purely demonic act. She’d rather make a separate half sandwich than take part in my unholy creation.

I’ve made flamin’ hot Cheetos quesadillas and they were very good. The filling was just cheese, scallions, precooked diced/shredded chicken and I crushed the Cheetos. Mix filling ala the Kenji method (mix the filings with the cheese) and cook. Crushing the Cheetosin a ziploc into roughly 1/4" chunks was key. They neede

I couldn’t be any more on board with this. Bravo.

I like uniformity so step one is that the bread is aligned top crust to bottom crust. Aka the sandwich bread 69. No question about starting with the top or bottom.  Then slicing is always diagonal, the triangle corners are much easier to begin eating.

Can’t forget your post about shredding some iceberg for sandwiches or tacos!

Potato meat” there's your star

The ham has been burgled.

Shredded lettuce is the superior lettuce. Also for tacos. I’ll choose a sandwich place simply because they have shredded lettuce

Excellent write-up and recipe. This is pretty much what I do and it’s great. One thing to note that’s becoming more important is to watch the salt in the pasta water. Just the difference between kosher vs ‘regular’ table salt can yield vastly different results and it shouldn’t ever be salty like the ocean. Adding this

This sounds solid. I do like the scalfani crushed for pizza

I’d like to submit the new Nutter Butter cereal for consideration. A great cereal and great peanut buttery milk

This. Ever get a previously used phone number? It’s bad. It’s worse when they used it as a fax machine since you can’t tell them to stop calling!

Like you said, toasting is key. That’s basically what that was (plus quartered pepperoni), there is sauce under there! As a cheat pizza sauce (I generally hand crush or food mill san marz) I’ve been using Mutti pizza sauce. It’s surprisingly good as is. I toaster oven broil but if the nuke box works, I’ve got to try th

Rt2 in mass as well- two lanes of 80mph with 2 carlengths max (you’ll get passed on the inside and cut off otherwise) then Rt2 continuing through Concord is insane- red lights on the “highway" and a 45mph limit that’s enforced over 50.

Chilito (chili cheese burrito) FTW. Got me through high school. Sadly they aren’t available here in the northeast. They pulled them from a lot of markets a while ago
