I thought they found it plausible, cause they definitely got results with an oscillator on the bridge they tested for it

I think expanding the time frame would show more than one shift. 200 years is nothing when you have 2000+ or so years worth of examples.
I think part of this is the science related to various pigments and dyes and such, and also the fact that 200 years is a really really really tiny sample of the art world to make a statement like that. Not to mention, if this is as weighted towards western art as I think it is, flesh tones and such are definitely…
Sanitize everything of all every-day language. Act like its shocking and completely out of line! This is news now, when there’s not an actual event happening.
I dunno about that specific idea, but narcissists tend to behave as though they're the only real person, everyone else just being an NPC to move their story along, to borrow a video game analogy.
Ah fuck, I wasn’t even aware of that ><
Yeah, I was so excited the first time the x-ray system got used in that not-mortal kombat mortal kombat game.... and then I realized that it wasn't permanent and I lost all interest.
I can't help but wonder how all the Filipinos that vaguely resemble her feel about being told they're essentially not 'whatever' enough to be a representative of their country.
.... verbal feedback is now considered being proactive instead of just knowing how to communicate with your partner now? Seriously?
You know, I bet you could get some mileage by building a plotline by just cumulatively adding these tropes. Subvert them as needed to avoid corner-trapping.
That's a fair point, and it would give the test subject a much more detailed appreciation of the difference between the two.
In 1997, the writer Sir Kingsley Amis complained, "When someone says or writes, 'Hopefully, the plan will be in operation by the end of the year,' we know immediately that we are dealing with a dimwit at best."
It'd be nice if everyone could see this argument as moot because: Sexual attraction is not evil.
There's a third option: They're an extension of yourself, as a sort of 'what if' scenario. I personally never pick 'white human male' in a game, if color is even relevant with the options I'm given.
You just parroted a bunch of vague and meaningless warnings that have been circulating since before the industrial revolution. Are we less human now? I'd argue with the heightened level of social awareness that's been going on, largely through the information-spreading of the internet, we're more 'human' than our…
Its a really really really cool idea, and the best MMO stories come out of EVE as far as I'm concerned, but it takes some real dedication.
I really miss the early days of lol, before jungle was a required position, and every hero had a designated lane. Itemization was largely experimental.... sigh
I had a restaurant manager who'd play this occasionally for me cause he knew Life on Mars was my favorite early Bowie (when he wasn't playing Bowie). It was a sort of private joke cause literally no one else in the restaurant was familiar with either :P
SAAAAAAAILORS fighting in the dance hall. Oh man, look at those cavemen go....
I'm still not convinced that causality isn't a higher order mirage. If string theory turns out to be true, there's just one electron (intersection of vibrating nth dimensional strings), everywhere all the time. Quantum mechanics alone kind of shits on causality. Why do we think its such a hard-coded rule?
