First: are those all different people? I don’t...I can’t...It...oh, god, my eyes.

Hence his nickname: Ol’ No-Fucks-Given Ford
His argument is a Latino?
I like it: “you come to believe the lies you depend on.” In another conversation, I called this “good politics turned into bad policy”. In this case, it’s good politics in the sense that it gets people into office, but nobody could actually govern on the platform that the GOP espouses.
He is awesome. I would have loved to hear about his experience on The Founder, which seems to be an under-rated movie. I really enjoyed it a lot.
Middle school sex ed? I assume you live nowhere near the Bible Belt. Ugh. They send waivers home with the kids here to say that they’ll be doing “family life education” and do the parents consent to that?
Stephen King did a bit of a crazy Ivan after Wizard and Glass. In the afterword to that, he talked about how the story of Roland’s quest for the Horn of Eld w/ Cuthbert and Alain was still to be told. He ended up doing the “present” tales of Roland instead of the flashback.
Nice.
Dad-a-chum?
It doesn’t matter. Wizard and Glass is amazing no matter how much of what you know is going on. It’s also one of Frank Muller’s last audiobooks, and he does an amazing job with it.
Nah, not an idiot. You just learned the hard, hard Kinja lesson: always check the post date.
snortled.
My cousin is a coach for the United U-17s. Suffice to say, Barron is not the future of U.S. (or any) soccer. The stories are everything you imagine them to be.
Journalism is hard, yo. Yes, you are exactly correct that AVClub is not helping things when they’re doing less fact-checking than the commentariat.
Three years later, “the American press works under the assumption that anyone more respectable than, say, an avowed neo-Nazi is operating in something like good faith” is a sick joke. Avowed neo-Nazis are praised and defended and treated with great respect.
What the hell is certmag.com, and what were they thinking? That Q&A was published in the summer of 2016. Ray Tomlinson died in March of that year. Were they trying to avoid a lawsuit of their own?
That’s...honestly one of the best comments I’ve ever seen.
Anxiously awaiting the results of the experiment.
So I have to say: I totally recognize you, but I don’t know from where. I mean, I’m a long-time lurker in both AV club and Kinja (and less of a lurker in Kinja), so now I’m getting confused about where I recognize people from.
Have been in and out of the greys all my time. Never any rhyme or reason, except that I’m a crappy commenter (and I recently made a stupid comment that got a bunch of likes/stars/whatevers and the comments that I like are usually ignored. Go figure).
