Or A-wings. I was awesome with the A-wings in Rogue Squadron. I loved that game.

It’s not so much “written” as “no one’s able to resist the pull of it”.

Why does R2 hate Han Solo so much? I still think that’s the stupidest, biggest plot hole ever. That’s a Christopher Nolan-sized plot hole. “We need Han to go die, then R2 can suddenly wake up with the map. So, uh, his circuits take a long time to boot when he’s in sleep mode.” Yeah.

Any suggestions for those who only have read Saga from this list?

So does R2-D2 hate Han Solo? Is that why he doesn’t bother saying “Oh, I had the map all along” until Solo dies?

I think that’s likely. Personally, I’d prefer that she not be a Skywalker (or a Solo, for that matter).

That would be further crap is she’s a Solo.

Please bless grandma and grandpa, and my friend Ren. He’s not strong.

I’m calling him “Ben Solo” because that’s the name his parents gave him.

Scenarios, in descending order of likelihood (most likely at top):

Agreed.

Same type of troop carrier descends when Leia first appears in front of Solo, I think. It seemed that it was a generic troop-carrier design, not exclusive to any side.

Thank God!. I’ve been looking for this place since last night. I need to see it again, but my first impression was: I have a newfound respect for the prequels.

“You’re damn right, best 4 out of 7.”

“You Englishmen have no balls!” And that bony cup gesture....

I was talking to my 13-year-old yesterday about media changes between my time at his age and now. I think what you’re observing is basically part of an overall growth in “targeted media.” In the 70’s, there was certainly less available media designed exclusively for children, and therefore even the media that was

“Nonplussed” means taken aback. It doesn’t mean chill. It is, in fact, the opposite of chill. I recognize that young people have held firm in their belief that it should mean what they want it to mean. They are incorrect.

Cover-to-cover, probably only 4 times; but I rarely go more than a few months without re-reading different parts. Also have the audiobook from audible. It’s not bad. The audiobook for Snow Crash is awesome (apropos of nothing).

I’ll grant you a greater knowledge of the scene in question, but again, you keep changing what you’re saying. Saying that he’s “trying to convince people he is one of them” is also not the same as “being the voice of the people”; or as you say later, “trying to be relatable” is also not “being the voice of the people.”

Read about Gil Dobie, one of the best college coaches ever. He hated everyone. First introduced to him in “Strange But True Sports Stories.” That was such a fun book.
