    I wouldn’t think so. Balloons are thicker than condoms, therefore, more durable.

    I would suspect that condoms would, for lack of a better term, inflate, easier. This would keep the CO2 in the fermenter at a lower pressure, which in turn would keep the wine from getting too acidic.
