In Dungeons & Dragons, every character has certain strengths and weaknesses, determined by their ability scores:…
Speaking of weird gross out ‘80’s flicks, I literally just got round to From Beyond, having seen Yuzna’s Re-Animator films and being a fan of H.P... boy, that film was still strange as hell. But I do absolutely love that when spooky things start happening as people sleep, Ken Foree don’t give a shit about what he’s…
This is terrible reporting, peak oil is a theory about the second derivative (growth and decline of the *rate* of oil production) not about total inventory (running out).
Recently turned walkers aren’t going to look like this
Thing I was most pleased by in this past episode was the character twist/reveal with ‘Daniel’ (Ruben Blades). This whole while I think it would be fair to say that the writers had been deliberately duping us into thinking that Daniel and his wife were victims of the Death Squads in El Salvador, during the ‘70s and…

The first was taken about an hour before the eclipse got underway, the second just before the Moon dipped behind the trees. I definitely need a camera with better low-light…
Boston sky was clear last night. Here’s a couple of mine.
And then the clouds came......

My “shitty at Photoshop” attempt. From Michigan.
Not bad for a broken tripod. 450mm, f/4, 1 second, no post-processing.
It’s times like these I wish I had a fancy camera.
Managed to get lucky with the manual focus on my thing. She’s glorious! https://www.flickr.com/photos/1261814…
“I see the bad moon arisin”
One more pic of the moon over Wroclaw, Poland. iPhone does not do it justice, of course. When the clouds do not cover it, it looks really spectacular, like a shiny orange in the sky.
Dublin - Canon 350D, best I could do...
It looks tiny through iPhone camera... orange nevertheless. Much bigger with the naked eye, obviously.
We got to see this before the clouds rolled in...now...too cloudy. :(
