I picked up Foucault's Pendulum when I was 12 and couldn't get through the first chapter...finished it years later, blew my mind.

Best to have her die due to some kind of malfunction during hibernation, that’s solid writing. I’m not really excited about this movie at all, but I really (visually) enjoyed Prometheus and I’d enjoy the story too if I could accept scientists with the same intelligence of a Friday the 13th teenager.

If you want to see one of the biggest influences on Battlestar Galactica, in my opinion, find a copy of “Space Above and Beyond”. Gritty like galactica, this show to me was everything I had wanted Star ship Troopers to be.

Not to mention, extraordinarily sci-fi. I definitely do not recall any flying cars or giant spaceships. They were driving around in an old jalopy truck, and the terrain wasn’t anything like Mars, so wtf? At least it gives me hope that the plot point about Tris being stronger and more resistant to sims than everyone

Yup, it was well known and reported on that amc was cutting all show budgets to keep mad Men still running.

I thought AMC cutting the budgets between season 1 and season 2 was well known. I didn’t watch the show at the time I heard about it. It was one of the reasons he gave for leaving at the time. I tried for years to get Mrs Lizardo to get me the BSG one, but no luck

I’m We’re really used to that by now... :)

1. No, it’s not time for them to admit anything. It’s time for us all to move on.
2. Abrams (like Lindelof) still doesn’t get it. It’s not a dichotomy between “seemed like he was lying” and “preserving the fun for the audience”. It’s that he crafted a plot twist whose target audience was no one. You’ve a tiny subset of

So, basically, in this universe, Kirk isn’t Kirk.

Some fans were also upset at seeing the Enterprise destroyed yet again, along with the line “We’ve got no ship, no crew, how are we going to get out of this one?” But Lin says the destruction of the beloved ship has a great pay-off.

Well he ruined Star Trek by making it an audition tape for Star Wars, so it should be fine.
