You don’t get to put your morals on your patient.

Yup, I had to take misoprostal for a missed miscarriage and the whole experience was incredibly traumatic (both physically and emotionally). The pharmacist who filled the prescription (at Walgreen’s) was actually really compassionate. Had he tried to deny me the prescription, that probably would have been the breaking

Dude was born septic.

And nobody is going to go septic if they don’t get a steak in a timely fashion.

Those are not medications you want to just stop. I’ve had something similar happen because the receptionist at the doctors decided that I should be taking one a day instead of two.  Like me and the doctor and pharmacy I normally go to are all wrong.... I had to see the doctor with a long waiting list and it was

Can you imagine the backlash if a woman didn’t fill a viagra prescription? Can. You. Imagine. Congress would shut down while its members fell into convulsive states.

Uhhhh, what the fuck? I’ve worked in mental health. Psychiatrists are generally pretty damned good at knowing what’s okay and what isn’t, and moreover, that a mom who is on an even keel is much better for baby.

Maybe he flunked out of med school, but kept the god complex.

Anyone in AZ cool with a Jewish, Muslim, or vegetarian cashier refusing to ring up their bacon ? No ? Then STFU and fill the goddamned script.

Right, I had a friend that was accepted to pharmacy school and the day before starting, ultimately decided not to attend because he could not dispense these types of drugs. He was, I think the technical term is, “A Churchy-la-roo.” But I’m glad he made that choice.

I suffered two blighted ovums for which I took misoprostol in order to control the timing of the miscarriage. It was an awful experience both physically and emotionally. Despite having now successfully had a second child, it still pains me to think about those losses. I wouldn’t wish the experience on anyone.

A lot of “religious conservatives” believe IUDs cause abortions, so yes, it could be against the pharmacist’s beliefs.

Did she honestly think that cutting you off cold turkey was somehow *better* for your baby? She wasn’t just a jerk, she was being pretty stupid, too.

As a medical professional (Not a doctor, but still), this fucking offends and infuriates me on a deep deep level.

Miso is a common prescription for women getting IUDs inserted too. Is that against the pharmacist’s beliefs? Fuck him.

I had a miscarriage around 8 weeks. When we found out in the morning that there was no heartbeat at our first drs appt we decided to have a medical abortion that afternoon to just get it done with (not technically an abortion as there was no heartbeat but you understand the purpose). I was really sad and barely

A pharmacist at a Walgreens on Milwaukee in Wicker Park (Chicago) tried to deny me my Zoloft prescription 2 weeks ago (at 8.5 mo pregnant). The bitch didn’t fill for 2 days with no explanation then tried to tell me she had to confirm with my doctor, asked if my doctor knew I was pregnant and all kinds of other body

How exactly does one decide to pursue pharmacy as a career, if they know they have a “moral objection” to dispensing medicine? The mind boggles.

This pharmacist should be fucking fired. I’m so sick of this “conscience clause” bullshit.
