It’s absurd. Adults are talking about how they’ve lost respect for a man they’ve never met and gleefully questioning a woman’s sexuality. I saw the word “sordid” used to describe Tom Hiddleston’s behavior! Kissing your girlfriend and wearing a shirt with her initials is sordid, now, apparently.

I think the way Jezebel/Gawker commentators turn into “Tin foil 911 truthers” constantly with celebrity relationships reflects more badly on them than the celebrities. It’s another way of totally criticizing behavior as long as the ideals don’t match, but totally being part of it when they match up.
