First of all, I love Meg & I am just sorry she has endured so much during this time until now, on top of losing both her grandmother and mother. I just cannot imagine the emotional and mental toll she must be feeling. I pray she is able to find rest and peace and go to therapy.

The main thing I was picky about was that my therapist be a black woman. (I’ve even seen some who didn’t accept my insurance!) It has taken me years, and I’ve seen several white women in the interim—but not giving up on finding a black woman turned out to be the best choice I ever made for my mental health.
