god the next time i come to the root and see a picture of this rapist please let it be in a pair of handcuffs. or a pine box.
but something like 40 people who knew the girl testified that it was her on the tape. and that she was underage. she was indeed supposed to testify but her family accidentally planned a trip to the south of france during the trial, so she wasn’t able to make it.
YESSSS, Empress Rih! Another day, another slay! Me and my pocketbook can’t keep up with her! Seriously. I can’t afford to buy this ish right now. Lol.
See! I knew it wasn’t just my old folks! Lol.
I grew up w/the turpentine teaspoon, too! Lmao. I always thought it was just another old Southern thing?

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?! Monique, I need you to be my mating mentor?! I NEVER get approached by anyone who’s not old enough to be my dad or a creep! :-/
i have never cheated. but i have been cheated on. and the most important lesson i learned from that experience is that *i* cannot take a cheater back. both because he continued cheating. and because i never trusted him again.
HEEYYY boo! *waves*
Ugh. I am so, so sorry Brittany. Both for your losses. And that I could not read this whole thing for fear of bursting into ugly tears at my desk. I just want to say thank you for sharing and let you know that you are not alone.
All of this.
Bless this comment! I am thankful I learned to move on a different wave than my peers and people I compete with career-wise who attended PWIs, but I must admit that respectability politics were a big part of my experience.
Also, I forgot that a lot of people go to Hampton b/c it’s part of their family legacy. I met people who were “3rd and 4th generation Hamptonians.”
I think most people aren’t aware of some of these issues from the outside looking in? I know I didn’t know those things when I accepted my scholarship or moved into the dorm.
