More of a clarification on why the scene was shot that way. If the whole point of the scene was to setup the reasons for helping with the escape then that’s why the focus was on Theon, not to censor the rape. It is used to drive the plot and not diminish the suffering of Sansa.

Wasn’t whole point of showing Theon’s face to emphasize that this horrific act was the catalyst that pushed Theon to aid Sansa to escape?
