I’m glad we’re getting a new Guardians movie. I hope the franchise can survive without Gunn’s stewardship.

Historically he hasn’t been the best judge of adaptations of his own work so I’m really not sure what to make of this.

I haven’t seen Oppenheimer because it really just holds no interest for me but other than that, yeah, Memento is still his best film imho.

I’ll agree with others here that this is a very odd take. I’m a big fan of most of Nolan’s work, but this might be his single most unwatchable movie. I can buy into the concept that a movie doesn’t have to make sense as long as the audience is having a good time, but this movie wasn’t even fun.

They’re both worth checking out.

Back when the Film Club podcast was still running (sign), A.A. Dowd said that “Tenet is the kind of movie that Nolan’s detractors accuse him of always making” and I think that sums it up pretty well.

Nope, Tenet sucked.

Not unlike West World, it twisted itself in pretzels to show off how clever it was, and frankly it was the most boring movie I’ve seen in years :(
