I originally came here to vouch for Gentle Barn, which is a truly special place, but in reading the comments I’m mortified that people are actually defending Paul in this situation. He purchased a living being for clout and amusement without doing a modicum of research. That is not ok. Ever. And no it doesn’t matter

saying Pearl was rehomed a second time without his knowledge

“I was told she was a mini pig.  Shes not”   A pig of that size is STILL mini compared to a full size farm pig.  People dont realize how gigantic pigs are, and that miniaturizing them still leaves them pretty huge compared to other pet animals.

.....why do we care about Logan Paul in 2023?  How is this still relevant enough to be a front-page story on one of the top gaming sites?  Are you *trying* to give him a second chance of 15 minutes of fame?

I’m more aghast that you continue to cover this idiot.

Much like Logan Paul’s whole career, he probably did this on a whim without thinking too much about the consequences.

Pro-Tip 1) Don’t adopt a pet unless you understand what it means to own the pet and are committed to taking care of that pet for its whole life. Yes this means even if they get bigger then you were told they were, or have health issues or if you have to move. If you can not commit to an pet, then don’t get one.

Should have just turned that thing into bacon.

I am very skeptical that he was “unable” to move the pig with him to Puerto Rico and more likely was just unwilling to do it.

I wonder what happened to all the internet-celeb pet pigs once they got huge. There are actual pygmy pigs in the wild (endangered). My neighbor had a mini-pig that never got much bigger than a fat cat.  It always had a cold or had something disgusting coming out of it. Animal shelters will tell you that most people

I would like to make it a crime to market “toy” or “mini” pigs. Those don’t exist unless you starve the pig.

It is so easy to be a good person and the Paul brothers fail on every level, constantly

Rich guy dumps his pig because he can’t take it with him to his tax haven.

It was irresponsible of him to get a pig in the first place if he wasn’t capable of devoting the time and effort necessary to properly care for it.

He adopted two pigs. It seem likely to me that the dead pig found with Pearl was his other one. Odd that he doesn’t even mention him. But honestly, we know he doesn’t care.

Who among us has not irresponsibly bought a vanity pig for internet clout and then abandoned it?

An important part of the story is that he bought a pig as a pet, not understanding that they grow up to become regular sized pigs.

So you know Paul personally have direct knowledge of the background search he conducted to know the “horse ranch” was on the up and up?

It was irresponsible of him to get a pig in the first place if he wasn’t capable of devoting the time and effort necessary to properly care for it.

“Bad person does innocuous thing but it counts as news because people are tweeting about it” is like half the articles on the internet now.
