A lot of what makes King’s novels work is the character stuff, often happening inside the heads of his characters (think Jack Torrance or Louis Creed). Or in his cleverly written asides and “bird’s eye view” commentary in the narrative itself - like the bit in Salem’s Lot about how the town was dead but hadn’t

You see, the thing is, post Storm of Swords GRRM is just incredibly lazy, and these wiki nerds basically write his lore books for him, so...

Nerds?

Nerds.

“Boy, I hope someone got fired for that blunder!”

I actually prefer that there’s black Valyrians because it’s the only way I can tell all of these fucking blonde people apart

These two are first-class assclowns.

SPOILER- I guess for GOT

Wait, more Targaryen history? It’s like Star Wars. So much else to look at, but no, focus on this one family.

People got time on their hands. Hate and frustration have to go somewhere, I guess.

Martin did give a pretty nice view of the subject back in 2013:

I can definitely see why this would be such a tricky adaptation: “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone” was the best short story in the collection it came out in, but it’s a very low-key kind of unsettling, the kind that definitely works better in prose form. It also never devolves “boomer didacticism”; there’s commentary, but it’s

Can’t wait to see which one...

With Gold Choice, there isn’t actually any need to look at the screen anymore, as you already know at Gold Choice locations where you will choose a car based on your status. There is no “just leaving”, you have to stop at the booth. One way or another, you are interacting with somebody at Hertz. It’s not SilverCar

Her parents should have been arrested for that spelling: Antwanette

i’ve rented from hertz at ATL. you cant drive off there is a barrier that drops. not the stick kind, the snowplow-looking kind. i think there are some karen shenanigans missing from this story.

I can tell you from frequent personal experience at ATL with Hertz that 95%+ of the employees there are black, including pretty much all the managers. So probably not.

Gold Members don’t “just leave”. You pick your car from your assigned section based on status and what you rented, and then you drive to the BIG ASS tollbooth thing with a rising metal barrier, where the agent checks your license and reservation and makes sure you have the appropriate car. If she tried to “just leave”

I’ve never been one to jump on the slideshow hate train, but this is absurd. Can’t you guys move the next and previous slide tabs out of the way so they don’t cover the content?

She is. It has been confirmed. She’s in LA until mid-October. She was not in NY to film the new credits. They’ll film her when she gets back.
