Am I remembering the book correctly in thinking that the house itself wasn’t all that scary, and that the action mostly took place in the basement? In the book, it’s like a single story shack for railroad workers, with basement and a coal chute, but not much else?

My wife loves her Nano, she just wanted something really small that was music only, no internet or camera needed. The touch is overkill, so I guess when this Nano dies I will have to find another music-only device.
