Say what you will about Dead Man’s Chest, but the soundtrack is absolutely stellar, with the Sailor’s Hornpipe bit in Tortuga, the dirge for the Dutchman, etc. One of my favorites of all time.

We all knew this happening, although I was thinking it was going to be the post-credits scene at best, with her coming back for real for #6.

The way Disney is going, Sabe could be getting her own anthology movie and a 5 issue Marvel comic in the next couple years, so anything is possible!

You know, I was thinking about that this afternoon and thinking the timing there has gotta be off given how old Reed is there, but that Ollie moment was so iconic I just assumed it was what Thomas was doing. Snake eating it’s own tail I suppose among the Brit crowd.

I used to write off Rooney, but then I caught a couple of his “Let’s put on a show!” movies with Judy Garland, and my opinion of him jumped a hundred-fold. He really was a helluva performer, and his energy is off the charts.

The first is really second only to the Indy films in terms of a great 30's pulp adventurer, helped greatly by Goldsmith’s score, the effects that still hold up well today, good leads in Fraser and Weisz, as well as memorable supporting characters.

This just makes me want to watch the 1st Brendan Fraser one again.
