Catalytic Converters. Jaguar wanted almost $2k to replace one of the two in my car. Went to RockAuto and got one for just under $200. Added bonus of adding a little extra growl to my car.

There are 120 spots. They could charge $100 a month to park here, probably more being in a wealthy SF area. I am guessing there are people who work in the surrounding areas willing to pay that. So lets say they only rent 100 spots, that’s $10k a month. You would pay off your investment in just over 9 months.

These are to small of sample sizes and a lot of he said/she said. My buddy drives a ‘09 135i. He spends a couple grand on repairs every year. Not maintenance, repairs. His first turbo went out at 30k and second at 44k. Luckily those were covered under warranty, but it’s been constant since then. It won’t go into sport…

I drive a ‘09 XF Supercharged with 75k on it. It has been extremely reliable for me in the many years I’ve had it. The only thing I have had to replace was 1 CAT which I got from RockAuto for about $200.

I couldn’t find anything with International Airports, but just taking into account the 100 mile radius, that’s roughly 2/3rd of the entire US Population.

I had a girlfriend with one of these once. We were driving along and the glove box door literally fell off, not open, OFF. Another day I pulled the door handle out of the door. She didn’t even care as she was so used to pieces falling off.

Seriously, right now you can find quality examples of the XF-R for $25k. That’s a 510 HP supercharged 5.0 for less than a decent Hyundia Sonata.
