It might be true that they are even more underpaid. But one group of workers can’t better their own conditions by opposing another group getting fairer treatment. It’s actually the opposite, if the VAs are succesfull then programers and developers can say: “if they get that, then so should we”

I agree, it seems to me like most of the backlash seems to be, “I get treated like shit, so I want everyone else to be treated like shit.”

Which is why code monkeys should unionize

They should form a union.

Maybe code monkeys should unionize like these voice folks currently did. Seriously programmers should, but they probably never will.
