One of the saddest parts of the world we live in now is that a post like this needs a "/s" tag.

Yes sometimes when I pay for coffee they thank me profusely and even go so far as to call me “Sir”. So that totally means baristas, and all cashiers really, have the utmost respect and admiration for helping them out by buying stuff. You should see how kind wait staff is to me always checking up me and asking if I…
Are there a lot of people who consider thin skin to be an admirable trait?
I think they were not sure if they could use Charles or not. That would change a lot if his character could be used or not,
David is still going to be an Omega-level mutant with adolescent onset schizophrenia. The combination of god-like powers and a menagerie of voices in one’s head isn’t a stellar combination.
Switch is a character the show desperately needed this season. Someone with motivation that actually makes some sense and has not done a varying level of awful things that we feel uncomfortable watching them.
I’m playing catch-up with the season, so just reached this point. I posted this after last season’s finale, and it still applies.
Switch has now joined the “daddy issues” team!
It was slow going and difficult to watch because it was tedious. All the heavy-handed important-feeling standalone episodes, constant overexplanations and Jon Hamm narration spelling out key themes were what made it a flawed season more so than any plot related decisions. If all that were condensed into an 8 episode…
“ending up with a story it didn’t seem quite capable of telling, striving for unearned seriousness and not quite succeeding.”
I’m not the biggest fan of this movie, but what you said gives me a better appreciation for what it was doing.
I watched both of those clips, and laughed out loud before I finished them. GREAT ACTING. Now if they at some point behave and speak dialogue like actual human beings might, maybe I’ll admit to missing something.
Also because: “I need you, Lenny”. But actually, he really didn’t?
This is exactly what I thought after Lenny killed herself. It’s not just Lenny leaving, it’s the last trace of David’s family.
People were shitty in the ‘60s and ‘70s? Gasp! Thank god they’re not that way today in our oh-so-enlightened age.
Much respect to Stereolab for playing as much as possible after their set was shortened by the storm delay. It was a greatest hits set, but they were some really fantastic jams.
No respect to the festival for staying closed for almost 90 minutes on Saturday even though the thunderstorm was only 20 minutes long. The…
Stereolab has an incredibly powerful rhythm section.
First, it was just in these reviews, but now it seems the show is trying to apologize for Syd’s ealier actions, as well.
THANK YOU! David isn’t being a villain just because. He’s doing villainous things because he feels threatened by a group of people who are trying to murder him. He’s trying to be a good guy but is continually pushed to the brink.
I didn’t expect Gabrielle Haller’s WWII backstory to be maintained!
