Thanks for sharing that. Cool story. They should've interviewed you for the documentary :)

I agree with you. A great year for film. In seeing your list I'm more than a little surprised that Return of the King isn't at least mentioned. The Battle of Pelennor Fields may just be the greatest action battle scene of all time. Giant Elephants anyone?

Pretty much anything Seal will do nicely

Totally agree! Every villain in Jusitified is pure gold. Dewey has some especially stiff competition from Boyd and Wynn

For your consideration fraysters:

The Lives of Others… 2nd viewing and now firmly in my all time top ten favorites. In the first viewing I loved how it looked back on a petty, paranoid dystopia. In this viewing I loved how it looked forward to an encroaching nightmare. Masterpiece level.

Lol

Totally agree. The Big Short was that year's best movie. It was also the most important movie and one of the most fun.

Like another post, revisited Trainspotting. I agree that it has aged well. Really well. It's as black of comedy as I remember but it's also more fun and kinetic. It's a fully realized, fucked up world that one immerses into with ease. I wonder if TS's frankness about heroin is possible without Pulp Fiction. Just

Yup

Can anyone say "PewDiePie" National Security Advisor? He's about as qualified as the Education Secretary in her role so I'm pretty sure just about anyone can fill these cabinet seats. PDP's worldview or at least his sensitivity seems to be a cultural match. Little known alternative fact: PDP's last name is Conway.

Marilyn Monroe! Her considerable intellect and amazing icon-deserving life and persona would make for a truly great memoir. Marriages to arguably the best athlete and best playwright of that era alone would make this an epic read if that was the bulk of her story. But that's just her men (some of them at least).

This could be the laziest and worst movie with an A-list cast this side of Battlefield Earth. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed hate watching it for as long as I could take it (30 minutes of howling good fun)

If you're gonna say Kirk then you really need to say Shatner Kirk or Pine Kirk. But I'm answering two ways. Best = Picard. Favorite = Shatner Kirk.
