Remember how they tried to downsize it in 2007? And then by 2009 they decided that was a bad idea and brought it back.

I dislike the guy who's trying to talk but is distracted by the game he's playing, so he constantly stutters, stops mid-sentence to exclaim at the game, forgets what he's talking about, etc. I wish they'd just be silent and let me hear the game soundtrack! :)
Ah, those confusing seconds when you realize the y-axis wasn't inverted, but you have to engage in some early plot/action/quicktime and don't have time to figure out how to set it back.
It seems like all those licenses would be expensive and complicated to get hold of legally. How did they do it?
For the longest time I only played my PS3 instead of 360 because I was always watching Netflix, and the PS3 Netflix doesn't require an additional subscription. Even though XBox games would frequently have better graphics and framerates, I just didn't feel like changing TV/receiver inputs. Never underestimate the…
I kind of wish they would bring in civilians, or maybe go back to a less GTA-esque setting where they don't have to come up with some excuse for why nobody goes outside except for street thugs.
In way it seems like they've won at a game they were playing - a really long, emotionally involving Rpg - and now they feel that same kind of loss; the journey is over and it'll never be the same as thst firest playthrough.
So cool to see it going from obscure-ish XBLIG game to being promoted by DoubleFine and appearing in major media outlets.
This is definitely a terrifying thing for Pavlina to have gone through, but I'm really glad he put his story out there for other devs to see. I see a lot of Kickstarters go through with too low budgets or too little experience and it leaves me scratching my head how they think it's going to come together (often the…
From an indie developer's perspective, the "race to the bottom" is a legitimate concern; especially with Steam making the prices more and more under the developers' control. I think this makes a good argument for selling your games on PSN or XBLA over the various PC or mobile distribution methods.
Wow. Uncharted's writing (dialogue) was the main selling point for me.
OH GOD YES
Arkham Origins has a similar tutorial/reward system that has made me a much better player - one of the reasons I prefer it over Arkham City.
I was going to add that a lot of games articles also include a pun in the title. But I couldn't find one as an example.
Follow me! I'm a super exciting indie dev who tweets like once a week: @AxiomVerge
Though I think I might be the only person who loves Arkham Origins, I'm still stoked to see what Rocksteady cooks up next. A reboot? A reveal that Joker is back and so is Mark Hamil? Some kind of Justice League mashup? Will it be a GTA-esque open world again, or Metroid Prime-esque labyrinth?
Who does he think they are, EA?
I think he did a pretty good job as Batman. The Joker, on the other hand, just sounds wrong to me. It's like new vs. old Dumbledore.
I should be used to having my friends constantly getting laid off in this industry, but I'm not.
As a wise woman once said, "How do you explain nachos if their is no God?"
