Original Tesla roadster!

Thanks much for the comparisons! So many comments; so little comprehension. Every bit of real data helps...

Energy is energy and there will be plenty of it in any pickup truck. Except the Tesla will use about a quarter as much to outperform any gas powered vehicle.

Tesla made a dyn-o-mite BRG, until they didn’t. Mine is for sale on Only Used Teslas, if you love green...

Could someone please remind me why we need mid-rear engined cars that cost at least double a mid-front engine car with the exact same weight distribution? I know the theory that weight doesn’t transfer off the rear wheels so much in braking, but that makes no sense, and I strongly suspect it is all about how close a

My lil ol Miata has 17” wheels!?

At one point, about 1962, before I could drive, I thought this Buick was the most gorgeous car ever, but that was mostly in comparison with our family 1952 Chevy...

I don’t suppose there’s any interest in the fact that Tesla is now bigger than Daimler and is building a new factory in Berlin? Nah, EVs are a niche market.

When will it be electric?

Six years; no screen issues...

For what it’s worth, I read Jalopnik because you resist the move to SUVs. One solution is to buy an electric SUV, like a Model X or Model Y. Just buy electric and things will get better.

A friend who drives a big SUV and works part time as an EMT has warned me of the risks of driving a Miata. I wonder how much more likely an SUV is to overturn than a Miata and whether that evens the score statistically, at least?

Thank you!

It may be more ordinary (Crossover) looking, but not more attractive to my eyes.

Might have had a better chance with a Bolt drivetrain. Just sayin’...

C’mon snobs, the world also needs cars for suburban dads who ferry kids around, but would also like their daily driver to provide wind in their hair when possible. Mine was a ‘99 Sebring, which didn’t have much guts, but certainly could cut corners with negligible roll.

I get what you did there... LOL

Dark mode is a nostalgic return to the basic cathode ray tube in which an electron beam makes a bright spot in an otherwise dark screen. Simple as that...

If only dreams came true...

There will always be a place for the Ferrari V12... in a museum (complete with sound system).
