My theory is that dolphins, one of sardines' top predators, are wising up to how the Japanese treat them, and giving the island a wide berth. Less dolphins eating sardines = more sardines consuming a finite resource (i.e., oxygen). Therefore, it's a die-off of spectacular proportions.
I've always liked the idea of becoming a reef.
Yeah! It is home to Kink.com. What's cool is that they do guided tours about twice a month - strictly for adults, because you never know if filming's going to be happening.
Advert at the bottom of the video mentioning the End Times FTW.
What time is it?
Whatever you do, don't pee in the Amazon Basin. Trouble!
Oh, you'll love it mate.
Have you seen him in The Station Agent? I know it's an indie film, but damn he's freaking terrific in it.
Holy hell, if one looks at the pattern on its "skin", there's a really intricate and orderly "scale"-like appearance. Fascinating.
Now, don't get me wrong - this isn't an ad hominem attack on Christians at all. But seriously, I've seen a fair amount of trailers for ostensibly "Christian" films, and they all (regardless of subject matter, be it the evils of porn, the struggle to be a "good father" or just being right with the Lord) have one thing…
Regarding Cut Copy's music: YOU TAKE THAT BACK.
... And, after looking at these fine specimens, I'm going to go ahead and agree with the head of FOX - this is going to be an R-rated film after all. Thank god for that!
Early footage of the Hungry Hungry Hippos reboot looks pretty intense, since we're talking about board games.
I'm guessing the giraffe was a Chinese political prisoner; apparently he stuck his neck out for democracy far too many times to get away with it.
Seriously, that's a pretty short-sighted statement. Rattlesnakes (or for that matter, every living organism) serve a purpose. Wishing for them to be extinct for the sole purpose of your convenience strikes me as an aggressively stupid thing to say. You remind me of the premier of West Australia, who wanted to begin…
I wouldn't say the US version was horrible, per se, but it was pretty ... unnecessary. Ashes To Ashes takes a '70s cop and transplants her to '80s London. And once again, Gene Hunt is in charge of proceedings. The David Bowie clown from the "Ashes To Ashes" video is haunting her as well. There is something ...…
Surprised no one is mentioning those two great (yet flawed) detective time-travel procedurals, BBC's Life on Mars and Ashes To Ashes. Not only did each episode in these two series handle a "case of the week", as the case were, but they also managed to keep that creepy "what the hell's going on?" vibe going on…
Ooh, Hodgman could play the William Atherton role - a know-it-all who inadvertently puts the City in danger when he disregards what the boys do!
Yeah, but one lousy bird isn't going to bring down a plane. Remember Scully's flight in New York? That happened when the plane hit a massive flock of geese. Planes hit birds all the time - but it's when the birds are in huge numbers and can theoretically take out an engine when culling would be necessary. My guess…
