The sexism and racism that were in the novels was clearly reflective of the time the novels were written, the early 1930s. As I said, an alternate history approach to doing the movies as a period piece is what I would like to see.

I always consider Deep Impact well worth rewatching, something I cannot say about Armageddon; once was enough for it.

I simply cannot currently see this series getting the supposed 8 seasons the producers want. I think it will be lucky to get 3; I’m almost surprised it got a 2nd one, but Apple TV+ has been doing that with the vast majority of its productions. I doubt that will continue.
