You can say Senna was the best of his era, but when he was up against Williams cars with active suspension he stood ZERO chance in the rain. Honestly, too much of F1 is engineering genius to even come close to saying its a level playing field.

Chrysler had quite a few great concepts in the 90s and early 2000s that didnt make it.
Dodge Copperhead (reskinned Viper)
The Cars and Coffee in Lafayette is usually really interesting. Last time I went there were a bunch of Diablos, a Pulsar GTi-R, and a super duper clean Maverick in the most terrible pale yellow.
Torch, is it possible this is an aftermarket “OEM Replacement” unit for the US market? Where they copy the functionality and such but not an exact clone possibly, much like many aftermarket headlights are these days.
Allow the use of studded snow tires for a fixed time frame, dont plow until the storm is over and only sand roads.
Less damage to vehicles, less damaging to the roadway, saves tax payers money.

If your only definition of beauty is a worn bar of soap then let me introduce you to the 1996 Taurus.
They arent really “closing” the road. Traffic gets rerouted to the other side and they do the run on the other. I have a feeling its not as big of a deal as people make it out to be.
Also worth noting, Stradman has admitted hes been driving the Veyron around on 91 octane which keeps the car in “Low power” mode of “only” about 850 HP. Do with that what you will when considering how much the SSC pulled from the Veyron.

Kind of. Is a 300,000 mile vehicle more worn than another car driven in the same condition but only 30,000 miles, yes. Can you have a 300,000 mile vehicle be in much nicer shape in every respect than a 30,000 mile vehicle? Absolutely.
I’d take someones work vehicle who does a ton of long distance driving between sites…
Lol, comparing NYC to other cities. I live in Denver, have lived in Minneapolis, St Louis, and Phoenix as well as visited most other major metropolitan areas of the country....NYC is its own special animal. Boston is also different than the rest, but in its own way.
minus maintenance, parking, damage to the vehicle from parking in NYC, insurance, etc...
To get “out of the city” is at least an hour drive. How often are you driving an hour each way to casually hang out with friends who have kids? I see this as a National Guard commitment vehicle. One weekend a month, two weeks a year.
And the suggestion is “no car”. But if i just say that and nothing else, I look like a jackass.
The conversation should have started this way....
“Before I get into some recommendations, I should point out all these costs you may not have thought about and just make an argument for renting a car on the occasional times you need to go to these places”
Go into some of those details, then say “However, if youre…
