I am very fun at parties because I drink more than every woman in attendance, probably combined.

Me TOO! Won’t they think of the photos?!?
From an anthropological standpoint it makes sense that the President of the Marshall Islands would not have as much trouble with misogyny. The RMI is a matrilineal society, and traditionally there has been a great deal of parity between the sexes in governing.
More like, “thank god for POCs.”
Is that supposed to be an insult? I believe in fairness and being rewarded based on merit and not based on how awesome someone’s personality is when it comes to acting. Except for her nomination in Winter’s Bone, her win and nominations after was because of her personality and not the quality of her performances which…
It clearly is because she gets nominated for sub-par performances
It’s the socialite thing that gets me. As a white woman, sure, I still want to see some white woman roles as long as diversity in Hollywood increases. But I’m sick and tired of the troubled socialite role. It’s boring. I think it’s because the type of people who get a leg up and really make it in the industry come…
It’s fine if you disagree. I’m not wrong though.
Yes I’m aware of who she was. The “progressive and transgressive” women who followed her were all very much of the same mold of rich white woman who could get away with that sort of thing. She herself could only get away with being transgressive because her father protected her from ruining her reputation.
I am neutral to meh about her, but feel she is way overexposed.
I mean, one could also say that most of the Jezebel community’s love for JLaw is also “irrational, overwrought, and arbitrary”.
“True, everyone is entitled to their opinion, just as everyone is entitled to their opinion about other people’s opinions.” Doesn’t “everyone’s entitled to their opinion” encompass another person giving their opinion on another person’s opinion? Just so you know, I’m not being snarky. I’m actually smiling.
She’s sort of a mediocre actor, and over exposed. It’s like she’s in fucking every other movie that comes out.
I agree. I think she’s a good actress but don’t always feel her parts are well suited for her and there seems to be a lot of them.
We’re not allowed to dislike a person now, or think they’re wrong for a part? What if my dislike isn’t irrational, overwrought or arbitrary? I think Jennifer Lawrence is over-exposed, often miscast and I don’t find her “I’m just a regular gal, lol”-schtick appealing. I don’t want to be her BFF and I’m tired of being…
Uh no, not every type of movie has been done a million times over. How many times over have you seen Deadpool? How many times over have you seen Hidden Figures?
Don’t forget her sexily drinking while shouting at some man then breaking down showing her softness.
From everything I’ve read about her, including doing a report on her and her husband for school, that’s exactly what she was.
I think she’s a fine actress who has been consistently miscast as women who are older with more life experience than her. In everything she’s done with David O’Russell she sticks out like a sore thumb.
Okay, Jennifer.
