I don’t think there’s a world where Xanadu held up when it was released, let alone now.

It’s evidence that what he claimed in the article doesn’t have to be true - I intended nothing more than that.

I spent two years supporting an Android phone for my mother. It’s worth the price of the iPhone to not go through that anymore. If it works for you (and others), that’s great - I won’t be joining you, as it’s not for me.

I did get an iPhone 11 to replace it - the 6 just works well as an internet radio, so why chuck it. I will probably replace the battery when it becomes necessary, as Internet radios are still more expensive than an iPhone battery.

No, it would not. My phones are equivalent size, so it takes up little space. Maybe if you took the battery out and used that to power things, perhaps you might have a similar situation.

It must be a miracle that the refurbished iPhone 6plus I used for 6 years and is still running beside me on my desk as an internet radio is still working then, because according you it shouldn’t be. How lucky am I.

In the world of F1, more people know Martin Brundle than some likely to be ephemeral music person who, if she was interested in the actual sport, would know who he was and why he was there.  Not his or F1's fault here - it’s hers.

John Paul Getty wasn’t French to my knowledge, Mercedes.

Why fight over it - there’s plenty of ugly to go around in that picture.

Fuel prices are rising in the U.S.

Vada Sultenfuss - what a name.  Anna Chlumsky was amazing in the movie.

My nephew was terrified of Christopher Lloyd in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.  When he came to visit he would want to watch it, but would always hide when Judge Doom came on the screen.  He’s 21 next year - I should give it to him for his birthday.

Hi Lalita - I hope meeting a hero in Mario was a good experience. Sadly, I can’t agree about the Aztek - the best thing about that picture is that black hides all the sins of its odd shape. Greetings from Australia, where we no longer make cars (including the Holden ute in my avatar), but we love them nonetheless.

Misery.

Forcing’? As sad as I am there is no new replacement for my 2015 Holden ute, they weren’t marched out at gunpoint. People stopped buying the cars they actually made here in large enough quantities to make it worthwhile - what would you have done?  You might think this is a simplistic view, but it’s what happened.

production for the Continental balanced out at the end of last year”

In Australia, we have E85, which has 10% ethanol added, but only newer cars are recommended to use this - I’ve never tried it. Standard unleaded fuel is 91 octane, 98 octane is for cars that should use it because the manufacturer recommends it - every other car won’t get much benefit from the extra cost.

I have a 20+ year old receiver with the same thing - no display. I only listen to one radio station when I’m in the shed anyway, so it’s perfect.

My Commodore ute drives like a car, not a truck and can still carry an entire kitchen home from Ikea (this happened only a month after I got it when my mum won a contest.  Good timing.)

The problem with using ‘proven’ technology (old), is that it is really noticed by consumers in the interactive parts of the driving experience. I would bet everybody here has seen car reviews describing the slow nature of some of the screens in new cars. Drivers interact with that many times a day, so using slower chip
