Yeah, I’m Australian. This is the second ute I have had, the previous one was a VUII I had for 12 years from new from 2002, this one is a VF from 2015 that was a year old when I got it. My interest in utes stems from the Melbourne Motor Show in 1977, when I was eight - I saw this in white:

As you can see in my avatar, that’s my car apart from the unfortunate hood scoops and nostrils. I’m looking to go to an EV for my next car and as I actually use the length of the tray to carry things, it has to be able to carry six foot long items with the seats down. If someone announced an EV version of my ute with

It’s the nearest thing to approaching my Australian ute in the US that I have seen, and I approve (apart from the age of the donor car). It even appears to have a decent tray length, which is the problem with the Ranger, Hilux and others :)

I sass him as well :)

Thanks for the confirmation - I’m not surprised :)

Much better looking is subjective - whatever floats your boat.

I reckon it’s possible that Peugeot bikes were used in the Tour De France at some point - cool.

Looks like a fine bit of toast - if you are interested and haven’t seen it and can get access, Toast Of London is a weird and fun comedy starring Matt Berry.

My family’s first fridge (in Australia) was a Frigidaire - it ran for more than 30 years. Good fridge.

General Motors Defense Research Laboratories built the wheels for this fine vehicle:

That purple - I want it. Even though I am pretty much committed to an EV for my next car, that colour is amazing. If I could, I would park it in my bedroom next to the wall behind my (removed) bed which is a darker version of that purple. Then I would sleep in it.

Thanks for the information - I agree, I would probably get a home charger. I currently have a Holden ute, which has a 7 foot long tray, and I need to be able to carry around things up to 6 foot long, so that will be a consideration, but until more EV models arrive here and I can measure the space behind the front

I can’t think of anything really bad to do with a car - maybe rolling through a stop sign at 5km/hr when I was 19 and there was a police person sitting in a car off to my right. I don’t know about the US, but sign offences in Australia are quite expensive relative to what I did.

Thanks, and yes I know my Government is less than receptive regarding EV takeup. Lucky for me, I won’t be looking at it for a minimum of 3-4 years, so there is time for change (though I am not holding my breath). I also spend most of my time driving around a country town that you can cross from one extremity to the

I’ve seen test drives, but don’t know if any have been sold.

Don’t forget to avenge your father :)

It would matter to me more if I had them in my car

“Your next vehicle will be an electric vehicle.”

In my case, being born 10 weeks early and then needing brain surgery at six months old has also made me philosophical about death. I could have been gone before I really started life, so in one sense the last 51 years have been a bonus. In another more immediate sense, I’ve felt life was largely pointless since I was

My niece did a semester at a French speaking school in Canada - coming from Australia was an interesting experience for her :)
