That sounds... very likely.

Not trying to be snide here, but I've yet to figure out what people love about those physical keyboards. I use a Blackberry at work and I'll take my touchscreen Swype over it any day, hands-down. What's the appeal of a physical keyboard?

Huh, I always assumed the contrast was just the standard way of doing things. I've had quite a few CT scans and they always used contrast with me... but in their defense, they were trying to find a very rare diagnosis. Every time one doctor ran out of ideas and I got referred to the next, he'd order up another round

My mother (and only my mother) used to sleep on the floor of the nursery with me sleeping on her stomach because it was the only way I'd fall asleep. I think I know what awkward conversation I'm going to launch at Father's Day dinner on Sunday!

Nope. And if the mother says the kid fulfills those requirements but has a disability, than they cannot refuse the child. It's not like having Downs automatically makes someone incapable of being around other people.

I'm just gonna copy my response from earlier... If they deny someone a service on the basis of ability than that's discrimination. The only thing I can think of that would justify refusing this girl would be that accomodating her would be undue burdon and frankly, I think such a claim would be a load of crap. Not

It makes life easier. I have a disability and I identify myself as disabled even when I don't have to to cut down on the stares and uncertainty of bystanders wondering if things are normal or if I'm in distress and need medical attention.

Not sold on biometrics right now. My computer uses facial recognition to log me in and it fails whenever I put makeup on.

I've been doomed to uncomfortable shoes since the day my doctor told me I had the flattest feet he'd ever seen. I do pretty good with Sketcher though. They make semi-dressy shoes with real grippy soles so you don't fall on your ass in the winter on ice. Since I wear pants to work all the time I can get away with

But that argument you described could be used to keep

Meh. I want Minecraft throw pillows, personally. My bed is looking a bit bare since I sleep alone every night.

Buy two and have pickaxe wars.

I started using a Blackberry at work after first getting my Android phone. I have three phones on my desk right now, two of them Blackberries. I don't care about their app store, I don't care about their CEOs... what's made me hate these things is they're slow and clunky. I hate the tiny little screen, I hate the

"I can't wait to see the photoshops of you wearing Princess Beatrice's hat."

I once took a popular culture class on Harry Potter (last semester, I had to pad my schedule to qualify as a full-time student... don't judge me) and the section the professor did on fanfiction was amazing. Amazing because I already knew about the horrors of slash and 90% of the class did not.

Meh. The language thing doesn't shock me. The way you word things can make big differences in how you and the experience is perceived... of course they wouldn't want you to call something stupid because the undertone is that the customer is stupid. I tailor my language at work all the time because it's easier to

Finance-savvy people: I have a Citi card. It's the only credit card I have right now. My credit is good, but I have no debt, no loans, and the card is the only line of credit to my name. If I cancel my Citi card and get a new credit card with a different bank - what will that do to my credit?

I had to give up caffeine a while back and tea is the strongest drink I can have. It's all I need to get through the day and it also has a strong 'comfort food' factor for me as well. I highly recommend getting a box of Red Rose tea - it's not expensive, it'll last you for a long time, and it tastes good for when

Thank you sir, I'll have to check this when I get home. Low odds of being on the list, but it'll still be good to know if I'm in the clear or not.

The one positive thing to come out of all of this nonsense. I've started using it a while back too for much the same reason.
