“there’s ever been a president elected who in this short period of time has done what we’ve done.”
People aren’t seeing movies because they’ve become too expensive. In NYC, I pay on average, $15.00 a ticket. More if it’s in 3d or RPX or whatever tacked on nonsense charge. It’s a minimum of $50.00 just to sit down with my wife and kid. I enjoy going to the movies, but many people don’t have the luxury of ponying up…
Why bother with a theater when they make you wear pants and don’t let you smoke a bowl and pause it to go pee?
They’re missing out on some good stuff then; Moonlight, La La Land, Hell or High Water, Hidden Figures, these were all great films.
Because it’s also a measure of power to abide by those rules of patriarchy and work within them at the expense of others. Just look at Phyllis Schlafly.
White supremacy and misogyny go hand in hand. They’re two key tenets key of fascism. Also at play here? The intertwining of christianity and government legislation.
Because we’re terrified of what you’ll do with that power we “lose”.
No: even stick-thin models do not look good with sweatshirts tucked into momjeans (see pictures above for proof); they just don’t look particularly fat that way. Still bad.
Wow. I think he illustrates perfectly where the motivation for these bills comes from; a hatred for women’s voices and choices and medical well-being that is based in hatred of women themselves.
“But it’s always been a learning and growing experience for me...this whole situation has definitely been that for me. It’s something that I’m going to keep in mind going forward.”
Well, I certainly hope so. But it seems that every time he’s at the center of a controversy, he gets more defensive than introspective, as…
There was a Youtuber who brought up a good point about thinking about the stuff you say or do before putting anything out. Mostly because not only does your livelihood depend on it, but the livelihoods of everyone who works or is affiliated with you.
I guess there’s a real PR push going on. I assume Floutus*will remain by his side post Netanyahu visit (which according to Haaretz was a real coup for Sara Netanyahu) for the Boeing photo op and then onto the rally, providing the optics for his base.
Trump’s blatant narcissism is so all-consuming that he can’t handle the realities of his new job - all that responsibility, all that criticism - so he’s going to try and relieve his ‘glory days’ on the campaign trail.
Me to those voters who still are parroting nonsense about him making America great again:
Trump actually cares about putting people like the rust belters back to work..
Somebody’s lonely in the White House.
Let’s be honest. This is all pretty terrible. I can’t even imagine the price point on this garbage. I already own jeans and hoodies and I don’t wear them on my high-fashion days.
I really feel like it’d be inappropriate to consider a SCOTUS nominee in the middle of the campaign like this. We should really wait until the election and let the voice of the American people be heard.
A lot of this reminds me of highschool in the mid - late 90s, in the fall/winter in Canada when i wore everything 3 sizes too big because i was irrationally ashamed of my body and it was constantly -25C outside and would have to wear double layers to keep warm.
